President of WHP Pastika Optimistic to Realize "Hindu for Better Life"

Karangasem, 30/6 (Atnews) - Inauguration of the World Hindu Parishad (WHP) Board of Commissioners for the term of 2019-2025 and Committee of the World Hindu Wisdom Meet (WHWM) 2019 was held at the Penataran Agung Besakih Temple on Sunday (Jun. 30). Dr. I Made Mangku Pastika was inaugurated as President of the WHP 2019-2025 replacing the deceased Ida Pedanda Sebali Tianyar Arimbawa.

His new leadership is expected to bring about a significant change in the "Hindu for Better Life." “I have no doubts about the leadership skills of Made Mangku Pastika. Moreover, right now he is elected as a member of Regional Representative Council of Bali after serving as governor of Bali for two periods,” said Chief of Dharma Adhyaksa of Central PHDI, Ida Pedanda Gede Bang Buruan Manuaba, in Denpasar on Sunday (Jun. 30).

This was conveyed after pinning the pins and submitting pataka or banner to the President of WHP Mangku Pastika started with the mejaya-jaya ritual. As Chairman of the World Hindu Parishad Foundation, he also hoped that all parties will support the programs in improving the Hindu human resources (HR).

It is in line with the theme of the World Hindu Wisdom Meet (WHWM) 2019 featuring the theme "Empowering Future Leader’"with the peak of implementation on September 21-22, 2019. For this reason, Bali can be chosen as a gathering place for world Hindu leaders in building a global network.

These efforts can strengthen belief of the Hindus in carrying out their devotion to God Almighty. Besides, it reminds the Hindus that are not only in Bali but also in all corners of the world having grown.

Meanwhile, President of WHP Mangku Pastika will prepare future leaders by fostering and growing the trust of young generation. “They all are young people having become leaders but not great leaders yet,” he said.

Cadre formation is so important in facing difficult challenges of the followers. However, such condition should not weaken but even encourage more optimistically and trigger the ‘adrenalin’ to work harder and harder.

On that account, he is trying to unite figures having joined the management, although it is not easy but will continue to try. “Gathering Hindu figures is as difficult as defending the Hindu followers of the world,” he concluded. (ART/02)
